About
Atthi Naturopathy
ATTHI NATUROPATHY AND YOGA MEDICAL COLLEGE, was established in the year 2020 as per the Govt. order No.535, Health and Family Welfare Department Dated 07-12.2020 for conducting BNYS (BACHELOR OF NATUROPATHY AND YOGIC SCIENCES), the Five and Half years (5 ½ year) Medical Degree course in Naturopathy and Yoga comprising 4 ½ years course of study and one year Compulsory Internship. This college is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. Under Atthi group of institution, which is 17 years old since 2007.

Nature Cure
Nature Cure is a scientific and holistic system of man building in harmony with the constructive principle of nature, stimulating the body’s inherent power to regain health and treat disease with the help of five great elements of nature.
Nature Cure aims at the three levels of intervention is that preventive, promotive and curative aspects of health with the view to prevent and cure diseases by removing the root cause and to promote and preserve the idea of positive health.
Nutrition & Dietetics
Nutrition deals with the science of food and its relationship to health. Dietetics is the practical application of the principles of nutrition for meal planning of healthy and sick individuals. Fasting is the single greatest natural healing therapy. It is nature’s ancient, universal remedy for many problems.
According to Naturopathy, the root cause of most of the disease is the accumulation of toxic matter. It is essential to cleanse it by diverting the energies of the body by fasting. During fasting the body eliminates a large amount of stored waste. It is a complete voluntary abstinence from taking any kind of food for a definite period of time. When one fasts the body is given an opportunity to heal on its own.
Hydrotherapy & Claytherapy
Department of Hydrotherapy and Clay therapy is a branch of Yoga and Naturopathy Medicine that deals with the study of the properties of water and its influence over human physiology through judicial application of water internally and externally. Hydrotherapy is used to prevent and treat acute and chronic conditions. Clay therapy in Naturopathy involves scientific use of moistened earth in a proper manner, so as to benefit the body from within.
Mud being enriched with minerals, applied externally helps in recovery of patient from various ailments efficiently. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, mud therapy became popular in Europe to treat chronic illness made with mineral waters and mudpacks. During the second half of the 20th century, pharmacology developed the idea of Mud Therapy to be considered as an alternative medicine and used in spa treatments.
Anatomy
The Department of Anatomy is having highly experienced competent and motivated team of faculties, who are efficiently trained to make a student competent by using evidence-based techniques in medical education. The Anatomy department also makes sure that the value system is also passed on to each student like compassion, respect and being a lifelong learner. Expert lectures are also conducted to give students a deep understanding of practical knowledge with interactive sessions.
Students are trained by using highly effective methods like hands-on dissection, small group discussions in Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai.
Microbiology
The vision of the Department is to disseminate knowledge across the theoretical and practical aspects of applied microbiology that is imperative for the development of scientific research in the country. The mission of the Department of Microbiology is to impart knowledge and training across the different fields of microbiology to be able to equip students for academics. The programmes have been designed to enhance awareness of current research across various fields of microbiology and to bring student’s knowledge to the latest state-of-the-art in their area of interest. The department has all the facilities needed to conduct basic research across the diverse areas of specialization of its faculty members. The students were encouraged to conduct seminars on various topics of interest.
